Janet Buck is a six-time Pushcart Nominee. Her poetry has recently appeared in PoetryBay, CrossConnect, Poetry Magazine.com, Offcourse, MiPo, Stirring, Runes, Scrivener's Pen, Niederngasse, Kimera, Megeara, Southern Ocean Review, Ariga, Facets Magazine, Three Candles, The Montserrat Review, and hundreds of journals worldwide. In 1999, Newton's Baby Press published her first print collection entitled Calamity's Quilt. Buck's work is forth-coming in Recursive Angel, Red River Review, The Pedestal Magazine, and Zuzu's Petals Quarterly. Janet's second print collection, Tickets to a Closing Play, was the winner of the 2002 Gival Press Poetry Award; the book is scheduled for release in October of 2003.

devin wayne davis is a father of three girls, graduated as a journalist and historian, works for the state of california, served three years in the army, is published in the sacramento anthology: 100 poems. a few of his more than 2, 000 pieces have been printed in sanskrit, poetry depth quarterly, and dwan. his verse may also be found at various on-line sites. davis continues to write since he was called "ink" in a vision. he has twice hiked mt. whitney; has taken a bus across the us, and visited germany, switzerland, and spain.

Hugh Haughton is Senior Lecturer in the Department of English & Related Literature at the University of York. He has edited The Chatto Book of Nonsense Poetry (1988) and the Centenary edition of Lewis Carroll Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Throught the Looking Glass (1998). He has also edited Gustav Janouch, Conversations with Kafka (1985), Rudyard Kipling Wee Willie Winkie (1988), Richard Howard Selected Poems (1990) and (with Adam Phillips) John Clare in Context (1994), the first collection of critical essays on Clare. He has published a number of essays on recent modern, including Geoffrey Hill (1985), Seamus Heaney (1990), Derek Mahon (1992), Denis Devlin (1996), contemporary Irish Poets on painting (1998) and Samuel Beckett (1998). He is currently working on a critical study of the poetry of Derek Mahon.

Matthew W. Schmeer holds an MFA from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and edits Poetry Midwest. His poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in 42opus, The River Oak Review, Cairn, The Rio Grande Review, The Connecticut River Review, The California Quarterly, The Curbside Review, mélange, The Hawai'i Review, Crab Creek Review, The Potomac Review, and elsewhere. His chapbook, Twenty-One Cents, was published by Pudding House Publications in 2002. He is an Assistant Professor of English at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina.

Robert Sward says: "Born on the Jewish North Side of Chicago, bar mitzvahed, sailor, amnesiac, university professor (Cornell, Iowa, Connecticut College), newspaper editor, food reviewer, father of five children, husband to four wives, my writing career has been described by critic Virginia Lee as a "long and winding road." In addition to poetry and fiction, I am now producing multi-media "collages" for the World Wide Web. I teach for the University of California Extension in Santa Cruz, and work as an editorial consultant." He neglected to say that he is the author of numerous books of poetry, fiction and non-fiction. And don't forget, his Collected Poems 1957-2004 is due out next year from Black Moss Press.

F.J. Tapiador works as a research scientist in the University of Birmingham, England, where he investigates on satellite remote sensing and artificial intelligence. His heterogeneous background includes a PhD in Physics, a MSc in Geography and a BA is Philosophy and Arts. He has published a couple of short histories and some poems in Spanish. His poem "On the State of the Quantum Theory" was awarded in the British 2002 Bridport Prize Competition.

Dianne Thomas is a freelance writer in Detroit, Michigan, USA. She began working on her first novel at the age of six and hasn't finished one yet. She has, however, published hundreds of newspaper articles in addition to creating poetry and short stories.

Seshadri Veeraraghavan lives in Houston, Texas, and is a Software Engineer by profession, specializing in Storage Management. His hobbies include photography, graphology, and semiotics. He also pursues an active interest in the cause of Animal Liberation.
